Fr. Alex Marlowe

Fr. Alex Marlowe was born in Aix-en-Provence, France but grew up mainly in Quebec, Canada and Senegal, West Africa where his father was a pastor, missionary, and church planter.  He studied theater at Shorter University, but fell into teaching high school after graduation.  After leaving the teaching field he began working for his father at Mission to the World, a Christian missionary organization, as a member of the training and development team where he worked for eight years.

He and his wife, Olivia, began attending an Anglican Church in 2016 shortly after they were married and they were confirmed the following Easter.  Feeling a call to the priesthood, he was accepted into postulancy and began his seminary studies in February 2020.  He was ordained a Deacon in March 2022 and began serving as Curate at All Saints Anglican Parish in Wilmington, North Carolina in April of 2022.  He received his Master of Arts (Religion) from Reformed Theological Seminary in December 2022. He was ordained a Priest in March 2023.

Having felt a call to church planting for many years, he learned of the new Mission in Johnson City TN and accepted the call to be the planting pastor for the Mission.

Fr. Alex and Olivia have four children: Sally, Jeffrey, Bonnie, and Molly. They love hospitality and warmly welcome you to their home anytime.

When not busy with ministry or playing with his kids, Fr. Alex enjoys reading and raising chickens and ducks.
